Rick's Cafe is down the road about 15 miles from Sandals Negril beach resort and other all inclusive resorts.  It's a spot that almost every tour ends at.  Ricks Cafe is a great restaurant that features drinks, food, live reggae music and best of all, a 35 foot cliff you can dive or jump off of into the ocean.  Ricks Cafe is also one of the best places to see the sun go down in Negril Jamaica.  I have an additional page devoted to the sun going down from Ricks Cafe  Click the pictures below to see larger images.

 

In the pictures below you can see people jumping off the cliff at Rick's Cafe.  The locals also get into the act by taking donations, then climbing another 35 feet up a tree and jumping off.  In 2004 Rick's Cafe was devastated by Hurricane Ivan.  We hope for a swift rebuild so we can visit Rick's Cafe soon.

Ricks Cafe Update!  Rick's Cafe reopened in August 2005 rebuilt and better than ever.  Rick's Cafe has become a two story restaurant with a pool and of course more cliff diving from a new jumping platform.

The cliff is a 35 foot drop to the water below. The water is 25 feet deep so you don't have to worry about hitting bottom. My best advice is to go in as straight as possible.

The locals will climb an additional 30 feet up a tree over the jump off point for $10.00 US then jump.
